1) Saturday Market

Namche Bazaar offers the cheapest alternative for purchasing any equipment for visitors (trekking or climbing). Every Saturday morning, the market offers a variety of trekking and climbing equipment. Soap, vegetables, cooking oil, and other products that are produced in the Namche region are sold by the local people and Tibetan people every Saturday.

2) Above-altitude sickness

In climbing or trekking, acclimatization is very necessary.  Situated at a high altitude, Namche Bazaar gives out an acclimatization stop point for all Climbers. You need to spend 2 days at Namche for acclimatisation during the Everest Base Camp trek because it helps to avoid altitude sickness. You can visit the Khumjung settlement and Hillary School on acclimatisation days.
