Nepal Government Decided To Raise Tourist Visa Fee From 17th July
KATHMANDU: The government has decided to rise the tourist visa for the tourists visiting Nepal. This new rule will be implemented from 17th July.
According to the Tourism Department, the visa fees has been increased as per the demand of time and situations. Department’s Director General Ishwar Raj Paudel said that the government has not raised the visa fees since 10 years and they are going to start the process of updating visa fees.
He also mentioned that the
revision will be made based on equality and reciprocity and if someone is
paying 100 dollars to visit Sweden, a Swedish should also pay the equal amount
to visit in Nepal. The price has been raised in a nominal way so that it wont
effect the Visit Nepal 202 campaign. Also, the revision of the amount will be
done again after the end of 2020.
