KATHMANDU : Around 29,000 tourist have visited the places by taking permission which have been announced as the restricted area by Nepal government. According to the information provided by Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, In 2018 the tourists have visited 8 major regions which are restricted by the government.
Most of the mountainous regions that are connected with Tibet border are restricted areas and one’s must take permission from the Immigration Department to visit those places. 2018 is the year in which most number of tourists have visited Nepal by exceeding the tourist arrival of 1.2 million tourists. In the history of Nepal, most of the tourists have visited the restricted region in 2017. Around 29,993 tourists visited the restricted area in 2017.
Similarly, In 2018, 28,876 tourists visited the restricted areas. Most of the tourists have reached there for trekking purpose.
