Great Nepal Treks & Expedition actively participated and contributes in the travel and tourism sector of Nepal and is affiliated to numerous organizations both governmental and non-governmental based nationally and internationally. Nepal Tourism Board (NTB)
Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), established in 1998, is a public-private partnership promoting tourism in Nepal. It fulfills its role as the National Tourism Organization. GNTE collaborates closely with NTB to brand Nepal as a top global destination, leveraging strategic partnerships to boost the nation’s tourism profile.
Trekking Agencies’ Associaton of Nepal (TAAN)
Established in 1979, TAAN leads Nepal’s trekking industry, supporting its regulation and growth. Great Nepal Treks & Expedition proudly maintains a strong affiliation with TAAN. Our Chairman, Surya Bahadur Ghimire, served as an executive member and Media & Publications Coordinator in 2015/16, reinforcing our valued partnership.
Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA)
Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) is a non-governmental, non-political, and non-profit organization promoting climbing sports and mountain tourism in Nepal. It also advocates for the protection of the mountain environment, aiming to preserve these natural assets from pollution and negative impacts.
Ministry of Culture, Tourism & Civil Aviation (MoTCA)
Ministry of Culture, Tourism & Civil Aviation (MoCTCA) is a government body dedicated to promoting tourism in Nepal. It encourages private sector involvement and also focuses on conserving Nepal’s natural environment, rich cultural heritage, and human resources, ensuring sustainable growth in the tourism industry.
Himalayan Rescue Association (HRA)
Himalayan Rescue Association (HRA), established in 1973, is a non-profit, voluntary organization aiming to reduce trekking-related casualties in Nepal. From a small aid post in the Khumbu region, HRA now operates temporary aid centers across Nepal, offering rescue and medical support to trekkers and travelers in remote areas.
Inclusive Women Development Forum Nepal (IWDFN)
Inclusive Women Development Forum Nepal (IWDFN) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting conflicted children, women, and the underprivileged. With the slogan “Tourism for Cause,” IWDFN is closely affiliated with us through our advisor, Reeta Rai, who serves as the organization’s Chairperson.
